X-Speed United
UCI Continental Cycling Team. Registered in Canada, racing in Europe and Asia. Development and pathway team for our junior programs based in Western Australia and Ontario, Canada.
At just 19 years old (as of January 2025), Nikolai Rysletten-Solvoll is already proving himself as one of Norwayโs promising young cyclists. He joins X-Speed United from Team NTG/Uno-X, bringing with him the experience of a packed 2024 season, during which he clocked an impressive 30 UCI race days. Nikolai kicked off his year in Belgium in March and wrapped up his early-season block in May at the Course de la Paix Juniors, a three-stage Nations Cup race in the Czech Republic.
Just days after his final stage in Czechia, Nikolai returned to Norway and claimed the Norgescup Regional Time Trial Championship. But that was merely a warm-up for his next achievement - an impressive 2nd place at the Junior National ITT Championships. From there, Nikolai continued his packed schedule, heading back to Belgium with his junior team before traveling to Hungary for another Nations Cup event.
Nikolaiโs introduction to cycling came after a move to Germany in 2017, where his family relocated for work. Previously, he had enjoyed cross-country skiing - a popular sport in Norway - but road cycling quickly became his passion. Growing up in Norway, where winters are long, cold, and dark, Nikolai learned to embrace the indoor trainer, building a strong foundation of endurance and discipline essential for his success on the road.
Currently, @nikolai.ryso is completing his studies at NTG Kongsvinger (Norges Toppidrettsgymnas), a unique school designed to help students balance their sporting ambitions with their education. Heโs set to graduate in the summer of 2025, and with his focus on both academics and cycling, Nikolai is poised for a bright future in the sport.
As he joins X-Speed United, weโre thrilled to welcome this determined young rider to the team. With his strong time trial abilities, relentless work ethic, and experience racing across Europe, Nikolai is ready to take the next step in his career.
Welcome aboard, Nikolai! The 2025 season is shaping up to be an exciting one, and we canโt wait to see you in action.
