Returning Rider Announcement: Leo Doyle

We are thrilled to announce the return of Leo Doyle for the 2025 season.

Leo began racing at 16, overcoming early struggles with borrowed gear and no family car. At 17, he made his mark by winning a UCI junior race in Balegem, Belgium, despite his mother taking out a loan to fund the trip. Although he earned a scholarship to University College Dublin, the move led to RED-S, (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport) slowing his progress. After 18 months, he returned to the podium with a bronze at the National Criterium Championships, boosting his confidence. In 2021, he represented Ireland, but an allergic reaction cut his final selection race short. Balancing racing and full-time studies, Leo saw steady improvement but limited pro-team interest, leading him to continue his studies in London. Just before moving, Leo secured 23rd in a UCI race in Romania, bronze in the Nationals, and announced his signing with X-Speed United.

In his first season with X-Speed, Leo has already racked up an impressive 5,136 km over 37 race days. June 2024 marked a standout moment when he claimed the KOM prize at the prestigious Grosser Preis des Kantons Aargau in Switzerland, a 1.1 category race featuring World Tour teams and top pro riders. Just 9 days later, he secured a thrilling victory on stage 5 of the Tour de Kurpie in Poland.

Welcome back, Leo—keep making waves!
