Returning Rider Announcement: George Radcliffe

Ladies and gentlemen, we are thrilled to announce the return of George Radcliffe for the 2025 season, kicking off the exciting new partnership under the banner of X-Speed United/Atom6 Bikes. In 2024, George covered an impressive 5,464 km in just 37 race days, securing several top ten finishes in the youth classifications of key stage races. And at only 21 years old, George is still a force to be reckoned with, as we expect him to continue battling for those coveted U23 points in 2025.

Hailing from Leeds, this British rider has a deep understanding of endurance racing. In May 2024, George completed the grueling 5 stages of the International Tour of Hellas, only to immediately tackle the Alps Isère Tour in France with just two days of recovery. On stage 5, he took on the legendary Alpe d’Huez, battling alongside a reduced group of chasers and crossing the finish line in Le Bourg-d’Oisans—a true survivor of a brutal race. It was an emotional moment for both riders and staff, witnessing George’s perseverance in the face of such a demanding challenge. And let’s not forget George’s impressive performance at the Tour de Beauce in Canada, where he secured 6th place on the long, 198 km opening stage (and where the legendary photo in this post was taken). As for stage 5, it seems fitting that in his namesake town of Saint George, he placed 4th in the circuit race—clearly, George feels right at home when his name’s on the map!

But George isn’t just a climber. He’s proven his versatility by holding his own in the fast-paced kermesse races in Belgium, and 2025 will see him expand his skills on the infamous cobblestones, now riding the cutting-edge Atom6 bike. With his talent, grit, and drive, George is poised to make waves in the upcoming season, aiming not only for stage results but also to make his mark in the general classification.

Welcome back, George—we can’t wait to see what’s next!
