Cisse Duts, a native of Houtvenne, Belgium, began his cycling journey with the Van Mossel Heist Cycling team in 2020 after competing in youth triathlons. Now, through our new partnership with Atom6, he joins X-Speed United for the 2025 season. Turning 19 soon, Cisse may be young, but his potential is already evident. He’s logged an impressive 2,340 km of racing in Belgium during his first year as a U23, and in 2023, he also competed in Holland and France with his club.
Balancing cycling with a full course load in Law at KU Leuven has been a major challenge for Cisse. Studying around 40 hours a week, he had to squeeze in training whenever possible. Despite the limited training time, he still managed to deliver solid performances. Starting next year, he plans to reduce his academic load to focus more on cycling, though he remains committed to earning his Law degree.
His favorite race of 2024 was the Omloop van het Waasland, where he bumped elbows with X-Speed United in the peloton and battled for a strong position in the final. Unfortunately, a crash in the last kilometer cost him his first UCI points. Now, we’re excited to help Cisse unleash his sprinting talent on the European stage as he continues to balance his cycling career with his studies.
