New Rider Announcement: Tim Riesen

Switzerland may be famous for its banks, ski resorts, and watches, but let’s not forget the Swiss know how to race bikes, too. We’re excited to introduce Tim Riesen, a native of Köniz near Bern, who joins X-Speed United with a strong racing background. After a season competing as an independent rider in Switzerland, Tim linked up with a German team to take on the Tour Cycliste International de Martinique. He was then selected to represent Switzerland at Il Piccolo Lombardia, the prestigious 170 km U23 race in Oggiono, where he battled alongside some of the world’s best development teams.

Tim, a German native speaker, started his cycling journey on mountain bikes a decade ago, riding trails with his father. Though he developed his skills on MTB, he’s since fallen in love with the speed and endurance of road racing. Switzerland’s amateur scene is growing fiercely competitive, with some teams fielding up to 15 riders to control the race. Racing as an independent has given Tim a sharp tactical sense and the ability to read races effectively —essential skills when you’re up against larger teams.

With a background in architectural drafting, Tim worked 40+ hours a week while racing at the amateur level. But in 2025, he’s committing to focus more fully on his cycling career. We’re thrilled to welcome Tim aboard and can’t wait to see him make his mark in the new season.
