We’re thrilled to welcome Clovis Sancartier, a 19-year-old Canadian rider from Québec, to the X-Speed United squad for his first season at the U23 level. Clovis brings a wealth of early experience and a strong foundation in endurance sports, making him a promising addition to our team.
Clovis began his athletic journey on the soccer field, but in 2017 he discovered his passion for cycling and joined CC Sprint. When the pandemic hit, he transitioned to ZVP Opto-Réseau, which later became Team Cycliste Alliance, based in Vaudreuil, Québec. With this team, Clovis competed in Nations Cup events, Green Mountain stage race in the U.S., and numerous competitions across Canada, building his skill set and gaining valuable race experience.
In 2023, Clovis took a big step in his development, racing in France as part of a project with the Québec regional team in collaboration with the CIC U Nantes Atlantique Continental team. Highlights included competing in the renowned La Ronde des Vallées, a key event for young riders.
Clovis isn’t just a cyclist—he’s a multi-talented athlete who also excels in winter sports. He practices cross-country skiing, coaches alpine skiing competitions, and, as a fun fact, completed a half-Ironman at just 15 years old for a school project, showcasing his early dedication and drive.
In 2025, Clovis will join X-Speed United in late March or early April, relocating to Belgium to live and train just 45 minutes from Brussels. This marks a major step in his career as he tackles a packed U23 racing calendar with us.
With his determination, versatility, and strong racing pedigree, Clovis is ready to take on the challenges of European racing. Welcome to the team, Clovis—we can’t wait to see what the season holds for you!
